My Shipment Never Made It :(

Ordered two Rooneys from the US. First the vendor accidently missed the order, then after querying, realised the omission and sent the brushes on with a complimentary brush cleaner, which was a nice gesture. Tracked to CA 90052 but disappeared after then. Been about three weeks since then; I don't think I'll be seeing these brushes. Will have some solace Shiraz later. :a54: Not sure how furious I am yet. Anyone have this experience before ?

You might be somehow protected. Which vendor did you purchase from? What postal service did they use to ship out your parcel? Have you contacted the vendor yet? How did you pay?

I wouldn't give up hope just yet. I'd probably do that around the 5-week mark. But this all depends on how your parcel was shipped to you. What was the estimated amount of time that the vendor gave you?

I'd give it a couple of more weeks. Perhaps customs is holding it? Is the tracking number telling you anything?

The one time I ordered something that never showed up the tracking info said something to the effect of, "parcel lost in transit". That was with Amazon and I was promptly refunded.

Good luck.

Yep

Yes, maybe another fortnight. The tracking advises that the parcel reached LA on July 6th. Have since asked CS if this seems like an inordinately long delivery. Maybe I'm being impatient , but I'm used to 12 to 15 days. The first omission was a delay in itself, CS said the order seemed to have a spell on it (in jest), now it seems as though it has.

I don't think you're being impatient. I've waited 5 weeks for something to arrive from my southern neighbors. That was a very rare event. I've had one parcel never show up. Of the other 100+ parcels, all were delivered within the estimated delivery time.

There are the rare times when they exceed the estimated time of delivery. Personally, I'd hold out 'till the end of the 1st week of August before looking for a refund. Though it is not looking very hopeful, there is the odd chance that it has been held up for whatever reason.

Edit: Probably time for bed here . . . just noticed the method of shipment with which it was sent. Bummer. That parcel should have been there by now. . . (Captain obvious, here). I'd still wait 'till around August 6/7 before asking to be refunded . . .

Goodnight B & B, you thoroughly addictive forum . . .

Sometimes the USPS carriers don't scan the packages. I called USPS one time to ask why the location has not been updated, and they said the postmen sometimes don't scan the package when they sort it out or when they are leaving the facility but they are in transit.

Thanks guys, and goodnight. If anything shows up or something I'll reply to this thread with news. Cheerio for now. :D

I hope you get your brushes. It is always a hassle waiting for something that is taking its time to get there.

I have had something similar happen and the original package showed up right after the vendor issued a replacement. I sent the original back unopened of course but what I am saying is it may still show up. I am rooting for you!

Yup.

I recently bought something off a B&Ber on the BST, and it was taking a pretty good while (was coming to Florida from Canada). I wrote him a PM, and he assured me that it had gone out some time before, and other from the same sale had received theirs. I knew he was honest, so I chalked up the loss to the mail demons.

It arrived the next day.

I too hope you get your package. I recently made a trade and USPS is stating the package was delivered. It wasn't. It's been two weeks of back and forth, trips to the PO and discussions with the officers with no resolution as of now. Stuff happens, but it's a bit disturbing. Good Luck to you sir!

It takes a while esp if it was first class mail
Which is very slow
My Gf use to live in Brisbane and when I mailed a package from Canada to Aus it took 3 months (this was over the Holiday rush tho) I sent it at the end of October and it got there mid March haha (This was via economic surface mail)
So just wait patientally and it'll show up soon enough

Its only been 2-3 weeks, it takes 2-3 weeks for my packages to reach to US using the surface mail option from Canada

I hope you get your package but it could be another week or two

I had a package take forever from cs. Not their fault, just the rubbish USPS.

I think Aussie Post can share the blame too (maybe not in this instance however). I've sent packages from here to the mother land and they have taken forever. Even sending packages from NSW/Vic/Qld to WA sometimes takes forever. Don't bother sending post cards - they take even longer. I think it's because everyone reads them along the way and they get put up on various fridges before they reach their final destination.

Classic Shaving re shipped my order. I just received the brushes today. They in turn requested and received a Stat Dec from me so that they can claim the earlier shipment from the Post Office. Anyway , this story has a happy ending for me and CCS. Items delivered : 1 x Rooney Heritage Bee Hive and 1 x Rooney Heritage Emillion, Both small loft pure badger. :D Thanks to CCS.

One of the brushes wasn't named "WILSON" was it?? :scared: Could be stranded on a tropical island with Tom Hanks by now.... Hope you get it soon though, its a little scary when things don't show up when they should.

Hi Thomas. Re previous post "Classic Shaving re shipped my order. I just received the brushes today." Just updating the thread with the good news.

I have had several issues in shipping small parcels down under from my Ebay store. I did all the tracking and insurance, but the packages never showed up. Almost never happens with a CONUS shipment. Makes a lot of us not want to ship international. Good luck.....hope you get your brushes.
