Here is my new brush, a Whipped Dog 24mm silvertip in a Firehouse Pottery handle in bright blue. It has good backbone but the tips are very soft. It holds an incredible amount of water, and so far has done equally well on both soaps and creams.
Wow, I love the custom handle. The only thing I would be worried about if I were to drop it that it would shatter upon hitting the floor due to a fumble. However, with my little experience with pottery, I recall most pieces being fairly resilient upon being dropped - especially if they're smaller.

It's easy to grip (the pottery is slightly textured), and the few bumps it's had so far haven't been a problem. If you dropped it on a tile floor it might crack or shatter, but I don't think that would happen on carpet or vinyl.
What loft height do you have your's at?
I didn't specify when I ordered so whatever the standard height is.
how long did it take for you to get it after order?
From time to time Larry has a few FireHouse handles in stock. I just looked at his site and there are 3 for sale. If you see one you like email him at once; they do not last long.
i got one from him a while ago, thinking that i would use it every other shave or put it into rotation with my other brush. nope! my other brush sits lonely on the shelf.....
