my new razor(s).. (identification help too)

A few days ago I won a new ball-end tech on ebay and today it showed up in the mail. I am beside myself at how awesome this thing is.

It's a 1958 with a stainless handle, and it's a total kick-*** piece of functional artwork; a total home run IMO. I cannot wait to try it out tomorrow.

In this same auction I won a "mystery razor" as well. It's got a gold head and a black plastic handle. The head is a Gillette, but it doesn't have any other distinguishing marks. Any ideas?

I've also got a Krona and a Fatboy that are going up on the trading block soon. Now that I've got all these razors I need to wheel and deal for some new creams.

mystery razor is also a tech (black handle variant). Not as common as the ball end or fat handle variants.

I had no idea about that razor; I think the seller may have tossed it in just to sweeten the deal a bit. I was really just after the other one so this one was pretty much gravy. My dad was born in 1939, maybe I should give it to him.

I got them both for $23 shipped. In reality I would've been happy to pay that much just for the ball-end, especially now after I've seen it. After looking at it more closely I don't think it's ever even been used.

Great razors.

I once took my black "GI" tech, my old helmet and some Williams and had a cold water shave in the back yard in honor of Veteran's Day.

Both those razors should serve you well for a lifetime, and then some.
