my new custom brushes - Wolf Whiskers Shaving Brushes

Hi everyone -



I just had a hobbyist here, Wolf Whiskers Shaving Brushes (member name: Fidem Scit), make me these two custom brushes, and I am extremely happy with them! He has a large range of colored rod stock and was willing to make any handle style I was looking for.

I specifically wanted an Eagle style, so I emailed him photos from vendors to get a sense of the dimensions.



He also had a Chubby style handle already made, but made this one specific for me, because I liked the bronze/yellow stock.



Its hard to tell, but the yellow part of the "Chubby" handle has this great pearlescent shininess to it. As well, the handles were polished and super-shiny (you can probably see my reflection).



He has TGN silvertip and Finest knots available, but I wanted a TGN Finest Fan (24mm) so he sent me just handles and I set the knot myself. I used the Eagle brush this morning and I couldn't be happier. I want to wholeheartedly endorse Wolf Whiskers if you are looking for a custom brush.

That Chubby handle looks every bit as good as Simpson's own Briar Limited Edition, maybe even better. Peter Wolf is doing some very fine work pouring his own acrylics and turning them. I've chatted with him and he is truly a great guy, eager to please. You've got to check his posts as soon as they come up because word is getting out that he is the real deal, and his work moves fast.

Love my Wolf Whiskers brush. Pete listens to want you want and nails it.. I agree he's definitely an up and comer. Luckily I can claim I bought his first B&B brush and will treasure it since it was my first foray into custom brushes.

He didn't put his logo on mine. I think he's trying out logo ideas. If you go to his hobbyist page he posted a photo of some handles with a logo on the bottom.

prices depend on what knot you want in the handle, I think mine was $60 but it was a wood one.

Mine had a label on it . Pete was trying to figure which way to go at the time with either a label or engraving

Peter made me a beautiful blue acrylic silvertip custom. Love it. My go-to brush!

If/when I go for a custom brush, this is likely the option I will go with. I would want a silvertip fan, so hopefully he could order that and set it for me, because I wouldn't want to risk setting it myself. I have seen quite a few pics of his handles and he does some very nice work for a very reasonable price.
