Took a river boat up The New River to Lamanai, in Belize, last week. I got a few choice shots on the way!
This is a black collared hawk who was interested in us for a few seconds:
Spearing is the preferred fishing method for the locals
For those that can afford a boat, if this is a boat, it looks more like a coffin, string fishing works best
To truly make it a Conradian oddity, in the middle of the jungle is a Mennonite farm
Followed shortly thereafter by some spectacular Mayan ruins
