What's new

My first successful restore.I love it!

Rather than bore everyone with the steps that have been run into the ground, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Set a 22mm finest fan at 44/45mm. The hardest part was cleaning rubber off the shelf:

I used marine epoxy and let it cure for over 24 hrs. I didn't have to repaint the lettering, as it is still in good shape. The only modifications were sanding the white bottom to remove stains and opening it up about .25-.5mm.

Wow that MAAS really did the trick! Looks great!!
Thanks! I suspect the handle was coated in a protective layer of dirt/ soap scum. Just one application of MAAS took it all off and revealed no scratches or damage at all. I guess I got pretty lucky on that one.

Very nice restore! I have been combing the local antique circuit to try and find old handles with no luck.. YET

Fantastic! Can't wait till my TGN knot gets here this week so I can complete my Ever Ready 200 restore! Already looking for more handles to work on.

I find nice handle they just tend to be 20$+, but under 25, the typical place where the haggling starts.
