What's new

my first smoke

So I had my first pipe smoke this evening it went ok. Is it normal to smoke on one bowl for 34 to 40 mins? the blend is amazing it smells of butterscotch and peach its moist yet a little dry. I also got my Truefitt & Hill sampler pack today as well so so it was a great day.

for all the new pipe smokers you can get all you need to start out for about 25 bucks

1 two pipes corncob
2 3 oz of blend
3 pipe cleaners
4 the 3 in 1 tool
5 filters if needed

interesting.. Been wanting to start.. But don't know where to go.. Is there a sight I can pickup all the above mentioned items? Thanks...

Depending on the size of the bowl, your cadence (rate of puffing), and the number of relights, 34-40 minutes sounds well within the realm of normal.

I'll assume you bought the Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe that is widely available at many drug stores? That's usually a Legend pipe, and my Legend takes me about the same amount of time to smoke.

So that local store was a win, I take it? Sounds like a great blend you picked up, and yes, 40 mins for a pipe isn't at all unusual. :)

Sounds like you hit the ground running! Nice work! TX, any Walgreens, CVS or rite-aid should have what you need, minus the Czech tool. You can go to a tobacconist for that or even get one on Amazon. You can use a fat headed nail to tamp down the tobacco until you order the tool.
