My First Restore

My first restore ever!
Dovo Fritz Bacht 24.
I think I did OK.
Polished the blade, replaced bronze washers, cleaned up the scales, repinned and got it shave ready.

I think I've got a hew hobby... =)
And it all started because I realized I can't afford buying new shiny razors!
lol. Got a couple of Wade and Butchers inboud. We'll see how thise turn out

It was very satisfying to shave with!
I can't wait to get my hands on some near wedge razors. Those look fun to shave with.

Used 400, 600, 800, 1000, 2000 grit M3 sandpaper and then Dialux compounds- white and black.
I had to straighten the edge, as it was frowning. That I also did on the sandpaper (400)

Ohh, to add, I did it all by hand. No buffing wheels or Dremel.
Takes a while, but I avoid overheating the blade and messing up the heat treatment or anything like it.

That is quite a job. I'm getting ready for a project and have a question why white and black Dialux compounds. How come not just Blue or Just white?
