FREAKED out when I was breaking in my new badger brush. We have an older house so the only shower is in the hall bathroom. I leave the door open usually and I had the brush soaking in hot water(just most of the bristles, not the whole thing) while I was in the shower. After a minute or two I heard loud barking and poked my head out to see my dogs at the door way with full puffs(that's what I call it when they puff their hair up on their back when they're scared.) They're usually pretty comfortable with coming in the bathroom as they please but they wouldn't go through the doorway. Once I got out of the shower I picked the brush up and held it out and they took one sniff and ran the other way. I found it to be hilarious. I have two one-year-old yellow labs by the way.

That's funny, my dogs are medium terriers and they don't notice. However, movies have been made about the antics of young yellow labs.

Great story! When I was a kid I had a real lucky rabbit's foot I won at a fair. My dog chewed it to shreds. Great dog, miss her.
