Hi all! I've been absent quite a bit as of late. I had the evil stomach virus that has been going around the states, and that knocked me out of commission for about a week. I got over it and SWMBO picked it up where I left it. Needless to say, our household hasn't been a pleasant place for a week or so now haha. But I did hit the 30th birthday milestone this past Sunday (also Easter Sunday, which a friend of mine aptly called it a Birthster Celebration) and I got a few shaving goodies for my birthday. I'll post a picture up later whenever I get a chance, but for now a list will suffice.
Semogue 1520 brush
Musgo Real Spiced Citrus
RazoRock Fresco
Captain's Choice Bay Rum AS
So far, I've just used the brush and the Fresco since I've only shaved once since the package came in. Well, I did splash out some of the bay rum and to me it smells like carrots haha. I was pleasantly surprised to get the brush and I'm looking forward to using it more for face lathering. A question I do have is for those who prefer to face lather. I have mostly creams in my collection (TOBS, RazoRock, etc) so I was wondering how many of you guys go about loading up your brush for lathering. Do you swirl your brush on top of the tub like you would a hard puck? Or do you scoop a bit out and apply it directly to your face? Just curious since I'm beginning to try a few new things and I want to keep from A) making a giant mess and B) compromising the remaining cream in the tub. Plus, maintaining a great shave is a top priority. Thanks gents!
