Good catch man! I have several of these and they are awesome razors. Yours appears to be a 1946 or 1947. I'm not sure but I believe they all came with a different blade bank,(FYI). I'm very happy with mine as they all shave very well. In fact in my honest opinion they are the best TTO shavers one could get!!! Enjoy the shave sir!!

I'm tempted to buy one too.I've given myself a challenge though, to find a nice one in a thrift/junk store. Just trying to avoid spending the entire shave budget on BST!

you can get user grade gold aristocrats for very good prices on bst or ebay, they are very good shavers, if you get the chance of a cheap one go for it, if these were plated in the more durable nickel or all rhodium they would be one of the most wanted razors around and go for big bucks.

I've got more or less the exact same thing from my greatgrandpa. It would be a shame if you didnt use it tomorrow! A great, smooth shaver!

Nice score. Be careful with the cleaning of the gold plating -- it is very thinly applied. But looks great now.
