My Aristocrat Find

I saw these in an antique store maybe two weeks ago and did not bite. I went back today and bought them both for $35.

The gold Aristocrat is a J (1964) date code and the silver is an H (1962) date code.

I cleaned them up and polished them.

Are they identical but for the color?

To the best of my knowledge they are the same, but I'm sure there are some here who could say definitively. Amazing find though! I hit up a couple antique shops today and all I came up with were some old Gems and a Gillette old style open comb. I passed on all of them, nothing "did it" for me.

Are you referring to the Old Style they want $40 for at the South County Antique Mall? I see it all the time. I'll never buy it either.

No actually it was at Apple Wagon on 70. Its at mile marker 155 on 70 just east of Columbia. It was only $5 but I hear they shave bad with a new "slim" blade. Maybe I should have picked it up but I honestly would not use it and I'v picked up 6 on Ebay in the past couple weeks.

And when you have them open the case you will find that it has a very large crack on the side that you can't see. I should have put it back with the crack facing up for people to see. Forty dollars is highway robbery for that one.:thumbdown
