Musgo Real #2

I recently placed an order with Connaught, and I threw in a 5ml sample of Musgo Real #2 Oakmoss, just to see what it was like.

Well, firstly, I don't really get anything mossy from it - but it's actually really nice. It's fresh and green, with a bit of citrus and floral notes.

But what really surprises me is how long it lasts. I applied some about 4:30pm (BST) yesterday, and as I'm slobbing it at home I haven't showered since and I'm wearing the same shirt again today - and I'm still getting hints of it 24 hours on!

I think a bottle of this is likely to make its way to me before too long - and probably samples of the other two.

The #2 that you tried, is it an AS, or Cologne?

It's a Cologne.

I think they only do one type of AS (Connaught only has one, anyway), but unfortunately I can't use it - I like the scent and the way it feels at first, but something in it makes my face itch after a few minutes.

This is one of the most overlooked quality greens on the market- I love it.

BTW you may not want to put cologne on your face, try the back of your neck and chest.

Yes, I use cologne only on my neck and chest - it's the Musgo Real AS that makes my face itch.

I haven't heard of it happening to anyone else, so the chances are you should be fine.

Not one of my favorites. Smelled like a wet bail of hay. Personally, I thought it was a bit too feminine (and my wife agreed with me!) I wound up washing it off. I much prefer Agua de Colonia #1, or #3, or better yet their aftershave.

I like the #2 the best of the Musgo scents. I get the fresh green scent from it, and it lasts for several hours on me. It is one of my favorites during the spring and summer months.
