Mühle and Edwin Jagger creams - one and the same?

I have a growing suspicion that EJ and Mühle shaving creams and soaps are really the same. If it is so, could someone please confirm it because I can save big time by buying Mühle instead of EJ.

Thank you very much! I have recently developed a bad itch for EJ/Mühle Sandalwood cream after having received a sample from the English Shaving Company, an itch that I can now scratch at considerably reduced cost.

I wanted to revive this thread. I too received a sample from the English Shaving Company of the EJ Jagger Aloe Vera shave cream. Quite extraordinary. Very thick, luxurious cream. The Muhle goes for $23 at West Coast and the EJ for $19 at QED. I am drawn to the Sea Buckthorn. Curious to know what our collective experience has been with the Buckthorn. Its expensive actually, as these are for 3.5 oz containers.

The Sea Buckthorn is an excellent choice. It's a unique fruit scent. The creams can be very expensive, but the soap is an excellent deal. I got a puck (65g) from The English Shaving Company for $7 shipped at one point. They are very hard soaps as well. Honestly, I think the cream was a little better, but not that much better.

I like the Buckthorn and the Aloe; both yield an excellent shave. I love the scent of the Sandalwood as well, but for me it was a touch drying.

Sadly, they are a touch expensive in my book, but so is TOBS, GFT, etc. But that is a pure value judgment on my part. and I got great results from thier soaps. Their soaps are an outstanding deal.

Darn, now I'm thinking of ordering up some creams and an 89L . . . . must resist . . . . :tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm

Good to know; I too got a sample of Sea Buckthorn from EJ, and now that it's time to order more blades (and creams, and..) I might just save my money and get the soap puck instead.

Cheers,
Sean
