"MR NATTY'S JACK TAR BAY RUM" Review

I received this item well packaged which is good because royal mail likes to use boxes as footballs in the sorting depots.
The item itself comes in a little bag which is nice for presentation but not so good practically so I have put it safe somewhere .

Apart from a do not drink me warning there really isn't much to show for in ingredients, I would guess they would like to keep the recipe a secret like others (Captains choice). The bottle is a nice heavy glass bottle that was filled to the brim so no gaps was left.

But what about the smell?, well if there was on word to describe it would be Christmas. So why Christmas well its has what to me smells like cloves in it but not in a bad way because in no way does it smell cheap, so it does smell natural and pleasant to my untrained nose. The smell is subtle that you can smell every now and then however I couldn't smell it when it was on me but my mother kept commenting on the smell so it is there just subtle.

If you don't like cloves then this may not be for you but to sum it up it has a very nice warm aroma that lingers but not for long, I did not get any burn what so ever but this could be the fact that my shaving skills are improving.

A warm subtle comforting aroma that is perfect for those windy winter days.

Looks like I would definitely need a balm after this stuff as there are no ingredients that hydrate or care for the skin in this.
Glad you like it (25quid ain't cheap after all), hopefully I get to smell some tomorrow at Albams in London.
Nice review by the way

Would you buy it again once the bottle is empty?

I used it after MWF and didn't leave me feeling dry however YMMV like always, suppose it depends what soap you are using at the time.

Would I buy again, at this time of writing, maybe but if I was to choose between proraso or this bay rum, it would probably be proraso splash.

I always need a balm as I have dry skin, so any product with alcohol needs a ton of moisturising ingredients otherwise the alcohol dries my face out further.
Why Proraso over this?

Proraso just offers more, it has everything a alcohol after shave has but with toning and moisturising properties while the Bay rum is nice just for that lovely smell.

It just depends what mood your in, I guess this is why most you have an after shave for every month of the year:lol:.

 I only have a balm, and a tiny bit of Proraso Blue that I use occasionally.
