Moving on in my blade exploration!

So im now 4 months in and i have tried a few different blades now and i am starting to form an idea on the blades i like most. I tend to try blades for 2 weeks each(i shave 5-6 times a week due to my job, 3 shaves per blade and trying to start a new blade on the day(s) i did not shave the day before). I am currently trying feather blades and do not like them at all, i am only a week and a day into my 2 weeks and im stopping here, way too many nicks and using the alum block is painful.

So far in order of most liked to least it is:

Shark SS and SC/Astra SP's (join top at the moment until i take another cycle with them to decide)
Dorco
Derby
Feather

Based on what ive read around here shark's and astras are fairly forgiving which is why i like them i think. Next in the rotation is personna platinum, timor, merkur and gillete silver blue. Any heads up as to which of these will be more like the SPs and sharks or any others not on that list that will be and are available in the UK?

hi ceego - check out connaughtshaving, they have a wide range and are UK based.

I like Derbys and Astra SPs too, never tried Dorco and not a huge fan of Feathers. I find most of the Gillette blades give me a pretty good consistent result.

Red wrapped Personna are going to be the closest to the Astra as far as what you have mentioned followed by the Gillette silver/blues

I agree with Mick, the Red Personna is a nice blade. I would highly recommend Gillette Super platinum also India manufactured. Feather was on the bottom of the list when I started DE shaving, now one of my favorite in a mild razor.
