I have nothing to tie a strop to. I'll probably clip it to my belt loop or something. 
Door knobs work.

oh cool, ok. My bathroom's like door-tub-anotherwall-toilet-sink so the door knob's far away, but I'll figure something out.
I keep mine on the closet door knob in my bedroom, the razors are also kept inside the closet for kid-safety sake. So I strop on my way out the closet, then on my way in after the shave.
The strop does not have to be 'right there'.
