What's new

Mother nature interrupted my shave.

I’m stumped
My relaxed Saturday morning shave was interrupted by a moderate earthquake.
I was just starting my first stroke when it started. put the razor down and waited it out.
It was a maderate quake only a 5.8 mag at 175km deep but in Rotorua which is about 450km from me. The deep ones seem to be felt furture away. after the short sharp shock hit I let the water in the sink stop moving and back to the shave I went.
Then in my second pass I could hear quack quack quack quack. Looked out the window and a duck was looking up at me we spoke to each other. I said what's up duck, it replied quack quack quack. Sorry little duck I have a shave to complete. back to complete the shave. took a photo or two after the shave but before cleaning up

Beautiful labs! Did they notice the duck? I'm sure they wouldn't have stopped to chat with it.
yes they noticed the duck. The last photo shows Max (my boy dog the girl is Nova) sitting at the door looking out at it. The ducks head can be seen between the rails, It is on the paving.

Nothing to do with shaving but here's my Doberman.... OK she isn't a Doberman, she's a wonderful Basset!

Interdasting.

There have been many earthquakes lately, or maybe we're just more aware of them. Beautiful labs, cute duck lol.

Very surprising, my daughter bit the bound whilst it was sleeping and it didnt do a thing!

I accidentally ran over his little buddy..it was a home I delivered bottled water to and they had a little ankle biter who would play chicken with your car tires on the way out. I always backed out very slowly and carefully but it just didn't work out for him this time and he died. That was one angry basset hound, it was absolutely heartbreaking. I was still surprised he bit me but I didn't blame him.

To the OP, glad that earthquake didn't make the blade jump too much! Those are a couple of beautiful labs, I love those dogs.

They have a bark like a dog 3 times their size- a huge chest in relation to everything else. I had a tri color like yours growing up.

California residents run the same risks while shaving. Maybe that's why dad used an electric razor.

both are on fault lines, so earthquakes are a part of life. We get a few per year but this is the first while shaving.
I think the duck was a bit rattled that's why it landded in my back yard.
