Money Clip Suggestions / Viper

I'm looking at the mini-Viper clip to replace what I have. For those of you that have it, does it retain is tension well? Any other suggestions in terms of clips? Thanks in advance.

I picked up the Superior Titanium mini-VIPER Titanium money clip back in March. I love it and no looking back after dropping the leather slim card cases! It retains it's tension very well. No issues there!

Thanks, Walds. I'm open to other options but the Mini might be the way to go. I might take a look at the regular version too depending on how much I decide to keep in there.

I carry 1 debit card, 2 credit cards, drivers license, work ID and some bills in the mini-VIPER. The capacity is 4 credit cards and 15 folded bills. I do 5 cards and maybe only 1/2 dozen bills or so. It's the ideal front pocket carry for me.

I have their standard clip with the Titanium Nitride finish. I have nothing but good things to say about the clip. It is extremely springy and has no problem holding a single bill after I've loaded it up. I do not, however, use it to hold my credit cards. I use a separate leather card sleeve for that, as my cards seem to wear very poorly, possibly because I work outside frequently. It's my understanding that the Viper series clip is just their standard clip with some material snipped out in a pattern that doesn't compromise the clip's tension. Saves them material, some people like the look, and they can upcharge it because it looks cool or something. If your primary concern is having a quality clip, then their standard Titan model is your best bet. Personally I put the money into an interesting finish rather than going the Viper route.

I actually use a M-Clip money clip. I've had it for awhile now and have been keeping about 5 cards in it + cash, and it hasn't stretched out at all, and can still just hold 1 bill if necessary.

Another option is the Duckbill money clip. I have used one, on and off, for the past couple of years and have not had any issues with its performance. It would be more comparable to the full sized Viper, however. It recently was replaced in my pocket by a Mitchell money clip wallet.

I LOVE my new Z clip that the LOTH bought me for my birthday. It is carbon fiber, light as a sheet of paper and guaranteed forever.

I use a Money Clamp: http://www.moneyclamp.com/

Yes, it really a glorified binder clip but because it's not dependent on a springy metal piece it's less apt to wear out real fast. I specifically like the Milan because it has less of an industrial feel.

eBay has some pretty good deals on Money Clamp blems lately as well FYI.

Does using a money clip cause more bills to become dog eared? The question is not meant as a subtle complaint, but I am curious why I often see fairly new bills with creased corners. I don't use a money clip, but imagine that would happen as the clip is taken in/out of pocket or rub against keys or other items. Or is something else going on?

After using all kinds of clips, including the MoneyClamp, which is great, I decide some years back to get a Mitchell Clip wallet. It holds all my cash, plus about 8 or 9 cards. Still very slim and fits in the from pocket of my pants. The neat thing is that I can remove a single bill from the stack of bills without taking them all out of the clip:

The best money clip I ever had was just an oversized safety pin, about 3" long. It kept all my cash together and drew a lot of compliments whenever I pulled it out.

I lost it about 2 years ago, and when it disappeared, I was more worried about finding the clip itself than I was about the $35 it contained at the time.

I've been looking for a replacement, maybe have it plated in sterling silver or gold.

Very nice Rudy. What are the dimensions of the Mitchell Clip wallet? I prefer slim card wallets that will fit in the front pocket of my pants without any bulk or bulging. I usually carry 5 cards and about 1/2 dozen bills or so.
