I have the Orange, Cedarwood and Black Pepper Tin and the stuff is great. If you have experience with MWF treat it the same way as the lather can be runny (but still protective) if you use hot water. I found this out yesterday as no matter what I did, the lather would not thicken up, then I realized I had soaked my brush in hot water. Oops, but the slickness was still there and I had enough cushion (not the same as slickness, YMMV) to get a great shave.
I just got my first order of Mikes soaps today, I got the Lilly of the valley and he sent a free sample of Orange, Cedarwood and Black Pepper. I test lathered both and they are a terrific soap. Top tier quality for sure. I wasn't expecting the free sample in the order, it was a very nice surprise. Mikes service is outstanding and I will definitely be buying more soap from him very soon. I'm thinking maybe the Barber shop sent next.
I just got my order of his "B&B Member request" of Coconut soap. OMG, I should have bought his entire stock. It smells awesome! I haven't had a chance to lather it yet, but if it's anything like the rest of his soaps, it'll be great!
If you do place an order with him and like coconut, you really should at least get a sample of it. Great stuff!
