Hello! I currently own a Merkur 38c and was looking into getting a slant 37c/39c. I was wondering if I purchased the 37c will the heads be interchangeable so I can have both the heavier longer handle and the shorter handle if I decided to use that for clean up reasons? Any help would be great. I would like to be able to use my closed comb on both as well as my slant on both if possible...Thanks B&B!

I think the answer is no. The slants have a slanted head and safety bar (the latter fixed to the base/handle). Because they are two-piece razors rather than three-piece, they cannot be properly mixed and matched. For example, putting the head of the 37C on the base and handle of the 38C will not give you a 39C, because you will have a slant head and a straight safety bar. Similarly, putting the head of the 38C on the base of the 37C will not give you a 34C because you will have a normal straight razor head on a slanted base.
