hi,
i got my new FUTUR yesterday and used it today.i have only been DE shaving since June and i was quite impressed with it.it is certainly heavy and your technique has to be good mine is just about acceptable.i started on setting 1 and may get up to 2 at some point.for the first time using it it went very well and i look forward to using it many times and hopefully my technique will improve also! great razor.i am still on the hunt for a good shave cream CELLA has got my attention and i am anxious too get some TOBS.anyway regards to all!

Congrats on new razor. I hear they are wonderful razors. You might try RazoRock Classic (avail. at WCS). Its cheap and works really well. I like the TOBS too.

I love mine, but I diss assembled it to clean the works and don't think I re assembled it correctly. Well the next shave was more like a blood donation. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU, the face you save may be your own. After looking through some of the threads (thanks guys) I realized what happened and got it right. It is a great shaver, I would recommend it to anyone looking for an adjustable that starts out fairly aggressive. I get a great shave on 1 to 2 for the setting

It is an outstanding razor- I have found nothing that really works or shaves any better. Some design flaws however- especially be carefull to set it without a blade in it or it could chop open your thumb!

Congrats and enjoy! I love my Futur and use it daily. Keep with it until you find the best setting(s) for you. As mentioned, be careful changing the setting and blades.

i think the finish is satin but i really wanted the matt chrome finish,but the price was right.i may still get another one someday! regards
