Merkur 11c slant?

Whilst replacing the blade in my Merkur 11c today, I noticed that there is quite a lot of play when trying to locate the blade centrally under the cap. In fact there is so much play, at its fulllest extent it resembled a slant. Has anyone tried shaving with a misaligned blade like this & if so, what were the results? I find the 11c, with a centralised blade way too mild, so it has been relegated to the role of shaving my neck & shoulders, with a wretched Supermax blade inserted, which is not capable of cutting through the hair on my face.

Ever try loosening it a tad with a blade in to raise the blade edge slightly? It's a mild oc but there is no reason it shouldn't be able to get your face like glass... My beard is rough and it demolishes it with a good blade.
