Mentholated glycerin

Hi gents,

So I just got back from getting a straightedge shave at a barbershop. The barber used this mentholated glycerin which he claimed could be picked up at Bed Bath and Beyond... A quick Web search reveals no such item at BBB....

Have any of you guys heard of this (readymade mentholated glycerin)? Or is this a custom concoction? If so, could I just get myself some CVS brand glycerin and some menthol crystals?

Did you get to see the container? I have never seen shaving stuff at Bed, Bath, and Beyond but I know people here have scored at theirs.

No, unfortunately not... He'd poured this stuff into a pump bottle which wasn't the original container.

I, too, have had little luck in finding shaving gear at BBB. It may just be that the local store doesn't carry it, but it makes me suspicious of anyone who says you can get at any Bed Bath & Beyond.
