Meermin Shoes

Anyone have experience with Meermin shoes? I was looking for some oxblood monk straps, and they had burgundy monks on sale in my size. I've ordered them and hope they meet my needs. They seem like a great deal for all the bells and whistles they claim to have.

I have some very nice boots from Meermin. Great quality at a great price. The sizing seems to run a bit different than most companies — I had to try and return a couple times before I got the right fit. But very happy with the boots themselves once I got that detail sorted.

Just got my double monks. I'm pleased thus far with price vs quality though time will tell. I'm normally a US 9 and I ordered the UK 8. This is for sure the right size for me. In terms of comfort it's too soon to tell. These will require a fair bit of break in.

The top strap of the monk has 3 or 4 holes for sizing but the bottom only has 1 hole and no elastic. So far I've found it to be a bit snug so I can see myself punching a new hole on that bottom start in short order.

Made in China. For me that is a hard pass buying new. I fully acknowledge that goods made in China can meet or exceed the quality of goods made in the USA/Japan/Europe. I fully acknowledges that there are spaces where entire industries are dominated by the PRC in terms of manufacturing.

I simply try to avoid supporting the PRC when I can do it, even it if costs me more to do so.

No clue about the shoes, but the shoe wax they sell - Burgol - is first rate stuff!!
