Mdc?

Here's a USA vendor (evidently, of all things French). It says $42, but I didn't check shipping charges.

(Edit: I just read on another board that they have "outrageous shipping charges," like $25. Apparently the vendor is located in Indianapolis. Oh, and life2short1971 says that it ships from France. Oh well . . .)

On another board someone mentioned a USA vendor of hard-to-find shaving products. They sell MdC! I emailed them just the other day, and they said $60 (shipped). Unfortunately I can't find my email exchange with them or their name. When I do find it I'll post the name here.

The Frenchgardening still ships from France.

ends up costing more based on my searching around.

Plus, they were extremely rude in my transaction with them when I was asking about the shipping and "handling Fee".

I see no reason to buy from the middle man like this or anyone else for that matter.

I bet you don't get the promo items that MdC adds either.

I second avoiding the middle man unlesss you get that guy selling for $60 shipped. My recent purchase direct from mdc for fougere was $72 and some change. Scented purchase some time ago was around $67.

Then lets not forget how long and stale that product might be buying from a middle man. With their attitude you may have no recourse if something is wrong.

For me buying from Jason was a better idea than buying direct.

i have to sign for international packages which since I'm typically not around means a trip to the post office. Jason shipped quickly and the parcel was waiting for me one night when I got home from work. He also included tracking and was not in the least bit rude. I was fine paying the handling fee.

i paid $60 shipped so apparently I made out well.

Just to be clear for, my "rude" experience was with FrenchGardening and not any other seller.

Ain't no way any soap can be worth $60.00. With all the great soaps out there for waaay less money, what could you possibly get?

I too was a firm believer that no soap could be worth $60... Until I tried it. It is now my favorite soap and I use it 5 times a week... and i have cella, valobra, aos, p160... so just try it and if you dont like it youll be able to sell it VERY quickly here.

Value is a in the eye of the beholder. Is it expensive - yes. Can you find other less expensive soaps that perform almost as well - yes.

Objectively speaking MdC as a soap is really as good as it gets, it holds its own against the best of soaps. Because of its great performance, I'd definitely buy again, even at the current price. Other people may decide otherwise, but to each his own.

Once you try it you'll decide for yourself, but for me it is worth it. It works phenomenally in hard water, soft water, the desert, and surely even the moon.

You guys make me want to try some, but for $72 I think i will keep wanting.

What? Did someone say another group buy? I'm in!
