Masters Challenge

Does anyone have any comments on the Masters "Challenge"?

I did a search but because of the name of the product I seem to get TONS of "other" posts

(Lots of challenges out there LOL).

I got a sample of Challenge a few months back. I didn't really care for it. But now that the weather is cooling down I kind of like it.

Any opinions on the scent?

its glycerin based (I believe) and has a nice woodsy / leathery smell.

reminds me of a toned down Clubman Special Reserve in a way.

I'm pretty much with you all around on this one, Jeff. Lower-strength Clubman SR knockoff: check. Glycerin: check. Verdict: very not bad!

I agree with the comparison with Special Reserve. Very similar but not as strong.

i just bought the Bay Rum version, its what sally beauty had and i'm kind of on the fence with it. i'm going to try the clubman next that i bought.

Try mixing the Masters Bay Rum with the Clubman Virgin Island Bayrum.

Im wearing that combo today. I just combine them in my palm and splash it on... Its a great combo!

I agree with the comparison with Special Reserve. Very similar but not as strong.

Master Challenge has hints of citrus and furniture polish that I don't get at all from Special Reserve.

SR is too much of a good thing for me. I much prefer MC.

+1. Me too. I keep a mix of 50/50 "PinMaster" in a cruet botlle in the shave den. I find the VIBR kicks up the mellow Masters and the Masters tones down the clovey Virgin Island. The result is a nice traditional bay rum.
