I thought I'd buy myself a Christmas gift today. Ended up with an Aluminum Tech in great condition for $10.

On it was the following: US PAT OFF / T4 / MARCAS REGS / and the usual "Gillette Diamond logo".

Question, what does the MARCAS REGS stand for?

Anyone?

By the way, going to shave with it for the first time on Christmas Day.

Not necessarily. It could have been made in America, for export to a Latin market.

Forgot to mention it came with a 1/pack of Gillette Platinum-Plus blade which had printed, "Made in U.S.A."

Regardless of where it was made I hope it shaves a good as it looks.

Actually alot of things made and sold in the USA had "Marcas Registradas" written on them back in the day. Pretty well ALL phonograph records and electronics.
Maybe they thought it sounded exotic??

Not at all. It is actually latin that they are printing. Many Gillette items and packaging have that printed on them. Made in America, sold in America or where ever.
