Mandom and Yatagan

I was cleaning out a box of samples today and I came across a sample that I had of Yatagan. I had tried it a year or so ago and I thought that it was OK. I gave it a try again today and I'm very impressed. Does anyone else think that Yatagan and Mandom aftershave seem to have a lot in common?

I never heard or tried Yatagan... Are they similar scent-wise/performance-wise?

Can you post a picture?

Are they made by the same company?

EDIT: All right, did a quick reasearch. Made by 'Caron', is it French?

Yatagan is made by Caron. I wrote to them about a year ago and asked for some samples when I was thinking about getting a bottle of 3rd Man. They sent me a ton of stuff, including 1 oz trial bottles and a couple of huge samples of Tabac Blond. It was like they just dumped a drawer of samples into a box and sent it to me. I tried the Yatagan once, then moved on to something else. I was just struck by how awesome it was when I found it today.

so... Tabac Blond is pretty great? (Sold as a woman's scent, isn't it?) <-- honest question.


by the way - I LOOOOVE Yatagan - my favorite of the four Caron colognes-for-men.
