You don’t have to worry about changing the oil if you rent a U-Haul truck.Thinking about making the drive up to Maggards in a week or so. Need to get an oil change first.
Oh, I'm keeping it sane. A razor or two, one of them high end. A high end brush. A couple of soaps and a few aftershaves. You don’t have to worry about changing the oil if you rent a U-Haul truck.
Their customer service can't be beat.Maggard's is my go to for soaps, creams, Simpsons brushes, etc. Great service. In fact, I have three Saponificio Varesino soaps due to arrive tomorrow.
I also have the MR18 and MR5. I use the MR11 the most. I have been really enjoying the V3M Tech Head. Seems to be suited better for my face. Has anyone tried their machined SS70?August 10, 2024 Saturday shave
Razor: Maggard V3A, MR18 handle
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (1)
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat, tallow
Brush: Paladin Tut handle w/Muhle STF XL
Post shave: Omega alum block, Thayer's Witch Hazel
Aftershave: Captain's Choice Nor'easter
This was the first shave with the Maggard V3A (aggressive) razor head. Huge gap and positive exposure. I've had it for over two years, but was finally motivated to try it based on ivan_101's post about its design and efficiency. It did not disappoint! Very close, very smooth. No injuries, no irritation.

I enjoy that one, sir.Lustray Spice
I like it as well. Actually, I forgot I had it so I thought I should revisit it. My uncle owned a barbershop and when he passed, I kind of inherited all of his inventory. The only Lustray missing was Spice. I need to break out all of the Gabel's again.I enjoy that one, sir.![]()
