What's new

Macro shots of Manchurian badger hair.

Here we go! Macro pics of my 30mm Manchurian badger brush. First dry, then soaked, then shaken out.

What is the brush model ?
Looks pretty dense, so maybe a Chubby 3 Manchu in cobalt blue ?

It's another knot I ordered from a Chinese supplier (great prices and I LOVE the knot) then Pixelfixed, another member, made me a simpsons chubby replica handle out of African blackwood.
This brush is my favourite, even over the Rooney.

We all know different suppliers and manufacturers call their hair different names. I wasn't trying to come off and trying to say this was simpsons hair. It is almost as soft as my rooney heritage though but with a nicer scrub and more backbone. I actually prefer this over that brush.

I read on the Kent website that most of the badger hair they use comes from the Manchurian region of China as badger is a pest and culled. So my question is what makes Manchurian, Manchurian? are other badgers different in other regions?

I like the fact that these threads are separate, too bad we don't have a sub forum for these kind of pictures

Thats a great idea!!

I Wanted to keep them seperate as to keep any discussion specific to one thing and prevent a big confusing mess.
