I have used the Uomo and was very impressed with how LR put this together. Lot of pepper from the start, then your lavender. I really liked this. It was different than any out there. It reminds me of L ' Occitane lavender which is almost like it. Anyway, have become a Vetiver fan and even patchouley. Have anyone tried the LV of these EDC. Looking for a great one to put next to my Old Spice, Clubman and Lilac Vegetal. Getting ready for my daughters graduation from grad school, have to do it right. Thank you all. Jimmy

I consider LV Vetiver to be the best vetiver scent I own - and I own quite a few. There are two types of vetiver scents, the highly refined ones like Guerlains, and the ones that are more raw, smelling closer to the raw vetiver one finds in essential oil. LV Vetiver and Etro vetiver are closer to the raw stuff in style.

One problem though, you'd better be quick, as there was talk at Basenotes of it being discontinued.

I haven't tried Patchouly but his vetiver is one of my least favourite vetivers. I do agree that it is a more raw vetiver, but when I wan't raw vetiver, I go for Etro.
