Lord blades--Which one is your favorite?

I'm working my way through Lord samples, and so far they've all been good. Favorite so far is ASCO because of the picture of the pyramids. :tongue_sm Big Ben and Racer also have nice pictures, but I haven't tried those yet.

P.S.: I wasn't happy with the Shark Super Stainless, but that was quite a while ago. I'll be revisiting them, and I expect to find them better this time.

Does anyone know which Lords got counterfeited a little while back? Are there knock-offs still out there?

I quite like the Lord Super Stainless and the Lord Super Chromes. The Shark SC (haven't tried SS yet) were kind of smooth, but tore me up, the crowns were alright (might give em another look)...the Plats were really bad. There was so much tugging XTG that I didn't even dare going ATG.

havent tried the lord super stainless, been using the plats and so far so good. How does the SS differ from the plat? thanks!

With the usual YMMV for me the SS feels smoother and sharper than the platinums. I can get an extra shave out of them as well and can go directly to ATG after the first pass. The Lord SS is really one of my top-3 blades and maybe even (depending on the razor used) my #1.

now having used the shark super stainless the first time for 3 shaves i just threw it out today and go with an astra superior stainless tomorrow. seemed dull and just didnt deliver a close shave. before the shark i've tried a lord super stainless - it was very nice. currently i'm waiting for my 200 lord super stainless to be delivered this week.
after a few weeks/months i can tell more.

I just realized I didn't list my favorite Lord blades!:001_rolle I'd say it's a toss-up between Racer, Asco and BigBen. Smooth, sharp, and good longevity. The racer wins by 2-3 shaves per blade on the longevity. Of course, YMMV!:biggrin1:

The funny thing is that when I found out about all the different Lord brand/blades I thought they mostly rebranded their own stuff. But the more I tried their products the more I had to admit that that is not so. Love the YMMV thing; for me the BigBens are the blades I like least of all; the first Lord product that didn't do anything for me.

I've tried Shark and Lord Platinum and both are awesome. My Lord Super Stainless evaluation is still incomplete because I got a deep cut with them (it was all my fault), and I need to give them another chance.

I really wonder what the difference is between the blades...beyond the name that is. I went through a sampler of Lord stainless and chrome a while ago and they all done good but I preferred the chrome over the stainless. Also of late I'm using silver star and those seem to be only good for 3 shaves but I get 4 out of most others.
