I'm thinking about buying the "gold" Futur. Can anyone tell me how the gold finish holds up over time? Thanks.

I have had my gold Futur for over 3 months and it shows no signs of fading - looks as good as the day I bought it. I shave with it six days a week minimum.
Sorry, I can't help with your question about the "gold" finish- my Futur is matt chrome. I can tell you that it is a great razor!
I had also thought about this. Would the plating wear off quickly. I recently saw a photo someone posted on here (can't find it now) which included a vintage gold (plated) razor. If the longevity of that is anything to go by, then the futur should also last. I'm also considering a gold version of the slant.
