Long Lasting Splash?

Obviously as you make your way through the wide world of wet-shaving products you will come to learn that there are certain attributes you look for. For me, when it comes to aftershaves, I really like something that lasts all day so that I find myself catching the occasional whiff of it throughout the afternoon still. Yes, I care about fighting razor burn, moisturizing, etc etc etc... But when it comes down to it, sine I get pretty decent shaves without a lot of irritation, I really care about the scent of my aftershave. I found Floid to be really to my liking--plus, I'll notice it throughout the day and it'll take my mind temporarily from whatever is stressing me out at that moment, so I guess it sort of works therapeutically on me throughout the day if it lasts. With that in mind, I thought I would ask the rest of you: What aftershaves seem to linger around all day for you?

As a general rule good aftershaves have a fleeting scent but bad aftershaves last all day.:frown:
Floid on me does not last very long at all which is a pity as i like the scent.
If I want something to last a while i usually wear Harvard by Marks & Spencer, TOBS Sandalwood or dare i say it Kouros by YSL.
Kouros gets very mixed reviews on basenotes etc, some say it smells great but others say Catpee due to the high Civet content.

I've heard that the Royall aftershaves last for at least a few hours, but I haven't had the chance to try any of them myself.

I have the Bay Rum here and yes it does stay for a while. I have to put some on my shirt if I want a longer lasting effect...

Coty Raw Vanilla seems to last for a good amount of time. I can go through a 12 hour shift at work, come home and take a nap, and when I wake up I'll catch a very faint hint of the scent still.

Musgo Real lasts an extremely long time and smells like an old Barber Shop! (When I say long time...I can smell it at the end of a 10 hour workday).

The splash that is...haven't tried the balm.

My sense of smell is pretty beat up (to many years of heavy smoking). The first time i used pinaud bay rum, i could smell it on me for a good 12 hours.

Now, the scent is gone almost instantly, but i do get comments a good 8 hours later with women asking me what scent i am wearing.

Of every splash I've tried, Musgo hangs around the longest. Unfortunately, SWMBO decided she didn't like it much, so it went into the mystery box I sold a few months back. Same for the LaToja splash, although it didn't last quite as long (I called it "Musgo Lite" because the scents were similar to me, with the LaToja a little lighter & fresher). L'Occitane Cade splash hangs around about the half the day for me, Harris Marlborough a little longer. It would be tough to find, but I recently obtained a bottle of Floris Santal A/S splash and it hangs around a good while also.

On me, the longest lasting splashes I have are:

Pinaud Special Reserve
Pinaud Bay Rum
D.R. Harris Sandalwood
Musgo Real

That's true about the Proraso. I hadn't really thought about it either, but it definitely lingers around throughout much of the day...

Brut lasts the longest on me. I also agree with Aqua Velva Musk lasting long. So does Skin Bracer Cooling Blue (hard to find version but still sold in a few stores here locally).

I'm with you in the fact that I like to catch whiffs throughout the day. It does indeed distract from stress...great point.

I have an order of samples on the way and Musgo AS is included. I am excited to try it out based on what I have read about it. "Barbershop" scents are my favorite.
