Loft advice please for TGN Finest 22mm.

Hey lads,

Birthday soon for yours truly and want to order a TGN 22mm Finest bulb to partner with my 24mm fan. Set the fan @ 48mm and I love it. I exclusively face lather and it's a go-to brush along with my 620 (you may be getting an idea of my preferences). Soaps tend to figure over creams in my rotation.

Anyway, can I follow the same ratio as I did with the 24mm fan or does the 22mm bulb require something a little different. Any and all advice appreciated. Hope I've given enough info to provide context.

Thanks in advance...and yes, the SBAD kicked in again...(went 3 months without buying one!)

I have the opposite setup... a 24/47 bulb and a 22/45 fan. The bulb has more backbone and feels quite a bit smaller on my face, even though it's a larger knot with more loft. Going from a 24/48 fan to a 22/45 bulb is going to be a big difference in size on your face. Just thought I'd chime in with that in case that affects your decision at all.

Thanks Jpipes - a different feel is what I'm looking for; don't get me wrong I adore the fan and am looking at playing with the variance between shapes and knots now. Bit o' fun at minimum exposure/risk cost-wise.

I guess I don't get as scientific about the knot depth...I guess I leave a nice depth for the handle, a bit on the deep side, and then shim it up with coins until it has a nice looking bloom to it!
