Apparently, thats the word out there. Its one of the best ones from L'occitane.

Actually it's funny you started this thread today. I'd read that rumor previously on this forum, and Eau des Baux is a fragrance I wanted to buy (tried it a couple of times at the L'Occitane boutique in the mall) so I was a little concerned if I should rush out and get some before it was gone. Well, turns out we took the kids to the mall today to see Santa, and I popped into the L'Occitane store. They had a bunch of Eau de Baux, and when I asked the store manager about them discontinuing it she laughed and said absolutely not, it's at the forefront of their holiday marketing.
After trying it and the Vetiver, I kinda liked the Vetiver better. Less sweet smelling, more woodsy. They're both nice though. Didn't buy either, maybe next time (the wife didn't care for it, which surprised me).

Yeah I saw that on Basenotes, too. It seems L'Occitane's mens range is slowly diminishing and the fragrances are skewing unisex.
While I never cared for it, a mate uses it exclusively.

I've heard they're simply changing the bottle up.
9Iron - I would keep an eye on the availability of Vetyver. It's no longer available on the website here in Oz (or in my local store), and that's exactly how the discontinuation of 4 Voleurs started.

My understanding is that the scent is not being discontinued, but rather the packaging is being revised and that they've had to update some of their labeling as it relates to its importation from France and apparently the related import regulations.
It depends on how you look for it. I see it listed under the "Last Chance" category. To me, that seem fairly definitive.
The text under "Last Chance" reads:

I spoke with Loccitane USA Customer Service about this issue today. The rep. said they are discontinuing Eau Des Baux in its current configuration, meaning they will be updating the sprayer and cap. The fragrance itself is NOT being discontinued. It will be re-released in a new bottle/cap/sprayer. A release date for the reissue was unknown at this point.

I sense a reformulation 
I always considered it a good, cheap alternative to Tobacco Vanille
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was unable to find Vetyver EDT on the U.S. website. If it's gone, that's a tragedy. 
Glad to hear EDB is still around. Much saddened to find out 4 Voleurs is discontinued.
