Local Gentlemen's Barbershops..in Ky..

Gents, perhaps this is the wrong placement for this thread, and Mods please feel free to correct me. I am wondering if there are any other fellows here from around the south-east parts of Kentucky that can direct one to any actual Gentlemen's Barbershops? I live in the small town of Harlan, and there is only a few barbers, and all are "electric-only" and no shave. While I have no problem with electric clippers, I am in search of a full-service barber. I would be most appreciative if anyone can point me in the right direction. Also, if anyone is near, perhaps we can get a wet-shavers community here locally meeting up on a fairly regular basis. Shoot me a PM if anyone is interested in that. Have good evenings, and cheers!

First off-Welcome! I grew up in Harlan and there weren't many options when I left ('90), so I can't imagine it's changed too much. I know there is at least one more member here who is in Harlan, and several others who are near that area. By the way, have you been watching "Justified"?

After watching a couple episodes of Justified, I looked on a map to see where Harlan is. Wow. You guys lend a new meaning to the term "boondocks"! (no offense meant!)

I imagine you might have to make your way to somewhere like Corbin for something like you're looking for, but I'm admittedly mostly ignorant about much of southeastern KY.

That being said, you'd probably be closer to any TN wetshavers meet-up than one in KY, but there are lots of folks just south of Lexington (Wilmore area) and around/in the city. Moved from the area in September, unfortunately, otherwise I'd love to come to one.
