loading a Schick C1

Greetings,
I just got this lovely razor:


The magazine is missing tge spring and there seems to be a stuck blade in the handle.
Cleaning it internally seems difficult. I wonder if i can just push a blade into the head by hand.... has anyone tried it?

The "stuck blade in the handle" is actually the piece that pushes the new blade into the head. You can load them by hand with a small pair of pliers, but just be careful doing it or you'll slice your finger wide open. You might want to stick with an injector if you are worried about safety.

The type C model got rid of the removable spring that was rather troublesome in previous models.
There is an internal one in the C. Are you sure it's really gone?

Nice razor. I just got one recently as well. Once I got it cleaned up - there was a lot of gunk built up in the head - I loaded it by hand with no problems. Held the blade with a pair of needle nose pliers to get it started, used a small screwdriver to get it seated properly. Shaved very well, too.
