Linen strop

I have BD three inch strop from Star shaving, it doesn't have a real linen component. I'd like to buy a linen strop that I can maybe attach to the BD. I've read that linen improves coti edges so that's the reason I'm looking for one.
Where can I buy? Links will be appreciated. Thanks.

I had a little back and forth email with The Superior Shave when I was buying a new strop. Jarrod said " In any event, we are one day this spring going to have a "linen only" Kohl & Laibach piece, just the linen on the back of the 189s times two and with the same hardware."

I have the Herold Russian Leather strop he's talking about, and the linen on it's nice, real nice.

I upgraded one of my strops with the Scruppleworks linen that I bought as a seperate piece from Jarrod at The Superior Shave. Not sure if he has any left or not, but an easy replacement if he does.

Jarrod doesn't have anymore when I asked a week ago. Torolf has a forum in the mall of artisan shaving with linen strops or replacements under Scrupleworks. I just ordered an entire strop from him but have been told his linen is some of the best. You can also get a Kanayama linen from Aframestokyo. He stocks them. Just got one today.

Real linen weave is hard to find. It seems the few strop makers who have stock in it only will sell it with a strop, or to past purchasers of their strops. I get the feeling Scrupleworks may also do the same if he already hasn't.

I second the Kanayama from Aframestokyo. I bought one to complement my Kanayama number 3 and I use it after all my coti edges. From what I understand it is not the best feeling linen strop but it does its job. It also might need some break in if you want it softer and there is a thread floating around here on how to break it in. I believe it is canvas but I'm not sure as I don't have a linen strop to compare it to but I'm happy with it. Also if you decide this route, Aframestokyo also sells hang in hardware to match the strop.

As far as I know he sells linen strops by themself and he also makes replacement strops with leather on both ends that you can put on a strop with Chicago screws to replace another component. He has them all in his price list for 2", 2.5" and 3". Torolf asked if I wanted to order one when I inquired about linen originally but I just decided to have him make me an entire strop! 3 to 4 weeks wait though! Not sure if I'm allowed to post this but if not please delete: http://www.artisanshaving.org/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1426

Alfredo, could you give us more details on this strop, please? What kind of leather is that? Seems a smooth Steerhide and the Linen also looks very nice.

Don't have many more details at the time.

It feels like my steer hide strop, the linen is great, very soft, very supple.

Noah, Tony has linen pieces for sale.

I just saw that last night. Looks real good and a good price. Otherwise there are only a few strops that even have linen. I just purchased an Illinois Strop and that was one of the only new strops that have a linen backing.

I put a strop together with some buffalo hide and I used linen I found in a local fabric shop, good heavy duty stuff.
It works wonderfully although I was wondering if anybody knew how to stop it fraying on the edges?
