Both at this site and at SRP I've gone on a couple of (genteel, I hope) rants on certain products and items -- Bic blades, Slants, MWF, all couched within the obligatory IMHOs and YMMVs disclaimers -- even though I KNEW I was right, and anyone who disagreed was an.... well, mistaken.
I recently went back, after several months of swearing it off for all time, to The Woolfat. Somehow, over those months, the stuff in the bowl had transmuted itself! It's still not the prettiest lather I can make, but the results are impeccable on my face. I'm sure, of course, that this has absolutley nothing to do with my gaining experience and maybe a little more expertise than I had after my first few months of shaving.... Anyway, now I love it.
So I don't think I'll ever rant again (unless those blasted BICS get an honorable mention somewhere). And now the challenge is -- what have you mercilessly critiqued on one of these forums (preferred), or at least under your breath as your lifeblood gushed into the sink, that now is in regular rotation and, in retrospect, deserved none of your ill-conceived calumny?
