Less abrasive Polish - Maas or Brasso?

Definitely not Brasso. If you must use a Reckitt Benckiser product, Silvo is the one for EPNS & Silver
MAAS is milder, although the actual abrasiveness of each is unclear. Brasso is harsher, chemically and I only use it when MAAS fails and I know the plating is solid and then very sparingly. Read the label on Braso - it lists metals it's not to be used on. MAAS doesn't have the same warning.
The only thing I'd ever use Brasso for is VERY heavily tarnished brass - and then only the first time cleaning it. I would NEVER use it for maintaining the shine on a brass object of any kind.
If you do use Brasso make sure you have the windows open!
Used Brasso while in the Navy to polish brass belt buckles and belt tips. It takes off the lacquer, polishes nicely and is abrasive enough to remove scratches! In short, it wears brass down!
