Legit Ebayers?

I know, in general....you have to be very careful when it comes to buying from ebay.
Can anyone suggest some ebay stores that are legit?

If you mean Razors I have bought 2 off techichi_shave and item exactly as described and for me only $12 International shipping.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Jess is looking for a eBay vendor from which to buy fragrances, not razors.

Jess - what brands are you looking for? Give me a few names and I will have a look through my saved sellers list and try and recommend a good one.

Thanks guys....actually, Timmy Dee is correct. I was looking on ebay and saw some pretty big sellers of fragrances. I don't really have any names in mind though. Creed maybe?

i wouldn't buy the more common fragrances off of ebay... but more niche ones might have a better chance. look at other things they sell and if teh price is too good to be true, it probably is...

There is a seller of Penhaligon's fragrances on Ebay that is legit. Shows the bottles, but with no ribbon, i.e., purchased from the Pen's factory store in the UK.

I don't think Brasschuck is operating his store anymore - I assume the UK shipping restrictions effectively ended it. Shame, as he had incredible prices on Pens.

Jess I'd be really surprised if you can find a regular source of legit creeds at prices cheaper than fragrancex or fragrancenet (I personally wouldn't shop with fragrancenet, but others report positive experiences).

Alternatively, if it's not essential to have the Creed bottle, may I suggest getting in on a split @ Basenotes? They're always splitting up flacons of Creed fragrances and selling decants (usually 50mL) over there.
I got my Aventus decant (50mL) for around $80, from a terrific vendor with the username heperd.
Also, have a look around the site The Crystal Flacon - it's a community specifically for splitting fragrances and selling decants.

I usually do not buy fragrances on ebay, but the last couple of times I have had success buying used bottles. Got my mind to thinking that perhaps no one would "fake" a used bottle since they would command less attention and money than new ones. Still, I check out each seller on Toolhaus to see what others think (and get past ebay's nebulous seller ratings to the real info).

Oops. Sorry about that. I hadn't purchased anything from him in awhile, but didn't realize that he'd been forced out.

malinda_matt is a very legitimate seller. great used testers (always 99% full) for reasonable prices. And responds to emails within minutes.

shadesandsprays is another great seller with virtually perfect feedback. Also, best packaging I have ever seen for any product.

No problem! I was able to get a 99% full tester of Prada Amber PH for $35 from Malinda_Matt and a BNIB Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin for $25 from Shadesandsprays - both received within several days of purchase.

I've just seen too many threads on basenotes with people worrying "is my ebay purchase legit", posting multiple pictures, fretting over getting scammed, working through ebay to get a refund, etc. Just not worth the hassle whatsoever. One can get good deals with decants/splits reputable sources, or buy on more reputable vendors for full bottles to the point that ebay is not needed.

While I do avoid eBay often, I do believe that if a seller has 100% feedback, or 99.9% with justifiable negative review (e.g., buyer was trying to scam seller, which happens) then it is generally safe. Especially if it's like $30. You're protected by Paypal and you arent out too much money to begin with. I just placed an order for Acqua di Gio for $40 from a seller w/ 100% positive feedback. To me, that is safe.

Honestly there are few people who are selling cologne's and "unreliable". It's not a very hard thing to say this bottle is unused, unbroken, etc. Just check the feedback and it will tell you everything you need to know.
