They have more than one formula, I believe. Also some of their soaps (splashes too) use more expensive fragrances and the prices reflect that.
LPL has expanded their offerings since their initial production.
Mine goes way back, only used a few times, but a really nice artisinal soap.
However no driving force to add more scents.

The soaps in the 150g container are sold as the "Premium" range. The main difference from the standard ones seems to be the scents used. Rose Pushkar is one of the premium soaps, for instance.
Soaps in the standard range are available as less expensive paper-wrapped refills. The premium soaps are only available with the fancy metal container.
LPL has also done some special edition soaps that are more expensive than the standard ones.
That's a soap I haven't tried & need to.
+1! Me too!! First, I need to work through a bit of my current stash.
I have the Oud Neroli. I'm not sure if it's the case with all their soaps but this one, the lather has a tendency to dissipate quickly. It's wonderful for 1 or 2 passes but that's it. When I use it I usually just load enough for a pass at a time and then reload as needed.
