Tim what’d you think of this Siliski base? I’ve been really impressed with his latest releases so I didn’t try to get one of these, but would be interested to see what you think of it. I think Andrew’s stuff is very underrated and I really love a couple of his scents.
It's an interesting soap. Hard and brittle texture. Starts off quite airy but with some stir, builds into a thick lather that is really thirsty. I've added so much water and it still can take more. It has a nice post feel, as if I'd put a lotion on. The slickness is good but it doesn't have a lot of residual slickness like a lot of the fatty tallow soaps do.
It's definitely a good soap but I prefer tallow and lanolin offerings a bit more. I still might get one when he releases it.
