Latest razor wish list

After seeing a Gillette New on the BOTOC thread and a really nice looking UFO handle, I have come up with more razors to put on my "wish list." For those who have not seen it, some Gillette News without plating have a coppery appearing top cap, brass or gold colored base plate, and a brass or gold handle with some coppery colored rings. Looks darn nice.

I have also discovered that Restored Razors (onotoman) does rose gold replating now.

So . . .

Option 1: Gillette New (vintage), top cap replated in rose gold, base plate replated in regular gold, and handle replated in rose gold.

Option 2: Gillette New (vintage) head only, top cap replated in rose gold, base plate replated in regular gold, and UFO handle in red bronze. Or Gold for top cap and handle color and rose gold for the base plate.


And to think that for months I never really considered a vintage razor . . .

What's left after that? Not much . . . I liked the Ikon OC, but suspect that is a Gillette New in stainless for more money. But there will probably always be something!

I am thinking about a Weber SS. They do look nice.

I'm thinking I will go Weber also when I decide to get a modern SS razor. Good value for the money and I hear nothing but good things. I am still in my vintage Gillette phase, so I am going to play that out first. Then I need software to try out....haven't delved very far into that yet. Then there's aftershaves.

Hell, now I need a 2nd job. Why did I open this thread?
