What's new

Latest project: Wilh. Mandt in Green G10

Ok, one of my first posts here, and it's a restoration. Hope you like it.

Specs:

Wilhelm Mandt Solingen
Best Quality SIlversteel 6/8

Reshaped the toe and removed top grip lines.

Scales are green G10
Pins Nickel/silver, Rivets outside SS, inside Brass.
Wedge was made from a piece of original scales. Think it is Bakelite but not 100% shure.

As I bought it

And finished razor ready for sharpening.

There remains some tiny pitting in the metal, but those stay in place as not to get the blade to thin or damage it.
Thanks for watching:)

Funny, I was having a root canal at the dentist last week and was thinking hmm, this smells just like when I carve bone-scales, they must have some nice tools I could use...

Nice job on the scales, very well executed.

I'm using this one Kavo K-Powergrip:
$50653_g.jpg

Superb piece of equipment. But not so affordable for most I'm afraid ( $2000+ )

Yep, bone and teeth have a distinct similar smell to them :)
