I agree with the 1.5 sometimes is a bit too large. I think I will go back to the 1.1 as a good all around choice.I love the 1.5 on my al-star, but am going to order a 1.1 for my Studio. The 1.5 can sometimes be a bit too large.
I have this very pen on load at the moment and the first few lines come out great then i keep speeding up, it makes such a huge difference taking you time (with the whole couple of hours and three pen experience i just aquired) cant say how one pen is better then another, but of what i have this is by far the most forgiving when you take your time,Most of us are comfortable scribbling with BP or RB pens. With Fountain pens (it doesn't matter the brand or point) we have to learn to write at a slower pace. You have to write slower than the ink flow. The wider the nib is, the slower you have to write in order to maintain a good line. I experienced this today using a flex pen with a heavy ink. Patience is good with fountain pens. Patience is something our generations tend to be short on. Slow down your writing and you will see a definite improvement in the performance and the quality of your fountain pens. Enjoy!
