Lalique White

thoughts on this one? Sounds like it would be good for summer wear and I'm considering getting a decant on this one.

All I seemed to hear about a year ago, particularly on Fragrantica, was how good this stuff is. Near unanimous praise.

I found a bottle to try, and wasn't really that impressed. It's a decent summer scent, especially for the price, but it just winds up too soft on my skin.
It's overshadowed by the other terrific offerings from Lalique, for me.

thanks. i am now shying away since its mentioned as being spicy in many reviews.

i am getting sick of scents with tamarind/pepper/cardamom/clove/coriander/saffron/etc. just not what im looking for in a scent. there are several very good scents i have that contain these ingredients (including D600, Cartier Declaration, Spicebomb, Costume National 21) and I dont need any more.

I didn't really find it that spicy, Schad. It's a nice lemon opening that fades away quickly to a mildly spicy woody kind of drydown. It could be worth a sample anyway, as most others seem to like it.

I suggest getting in on a split of Bergamote 22. It's taken over from C&E West Indian Limes as my favourite summer scent, but then I'm a big vetiver fan.

I have a decant of Bergamote 22. It's good stuff. I like the opening better than the drydown. It gets more woody later....I Like that lemony bergamonte opening more.

My review from last summer. I really loved the opening, but didn't care for the drydown.

Story of my life. Sounds similar to my experience with Cartier Roadster and Le Labo Bergamote 22. Both awesome on top but then the drydowns down live up to the topnotes.
