Labor Day PIF

I have two tubes and one bottle of aftershave balm I am going to PIF. I just don't care for the balms (they were gifts) as I much prefer splash ons. One is a tube of Aramis AS balm, one is a tube of Avon Wild Country balm, and the other is a small bottle of C.O Bigelow Barber balm. The two tubes are pretty much completely full as I hardly used them. The bottle is about 1/4 full, enough for a few more shaves.

Let me know that you are "IN" and tell us what you are doing to celebrate this Labor Day (or not celebrate it, and I know that some even have to work which I feel is ironic), or what you did if you enter after today, and I will decide by random drawing next Sunday. I'm in. My wife, son, daughter in law and I went to the Soldier Hollow Classic in Heber City, UT. It is great fun to watch the sheepdog competition. Dogs from all over the world competing in herding trials. These dogs are incredibly smart and exciting to watch. Got too much sun. Forgot sunscreen. Must moisturize tonight.

I am one of the guys that had to work. I am on call (24/7 for 14 days). Well I got a work call just as I was starting breakfast for all the family I invited over. I had to let my wife, who was not feeling up to snuff, cook and clean most of the breakfast I planned (I do love that woman).

After finishing work I did get to enjoy some time with family. I went to the store for a great dessert, then we played cards and talked.

I know it sounds relatively uneventful, but we enjoyed it, and again, I am on call and cannot go more than a few minutes from home.

I was going to spends countless tedious hours wrenching on a 94 VW Golf, but it was raining by me, so I did exactly what labor day was meant for. I relaxed and enjoyed the day off, being in construction this holiday means a great deal for me. I have a lot of respect for what our labor movement has accomplished. 8 hr work days, sat and sun off, and a day to relax from the strain of the job site. Labor day is the blue collar workers holiday, a day to be proud of how far we have come.
